2024 Online PCA and 32-hr Medication Aide Course Schedule ​

PCA Course  - Hybrid Online  Course  
This program has been developed by the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) to establish a uniform training curriculum. Its purpose is to train and teach qualified persons to provide personal care services under Medicaid Waivers. DMAS hopes that this program will assist in recruiting and retaining qualified personal care aides.
Skills presented via video with “test your knowledge" exercises following.

32-hour - Hybrid Online  Course  
This program has been developed by the Virginia Department of Gerontology and the Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) to establish a uniform training curriculum. Its purpose is to train and teach qualified persons to administer medication in facilities licensed by DBHDS (Group Homes and Residential Homes) and by VDSS (Adult Day Cares and Residential Homes).

Students will complete coursework online 
In-Person skills check-off required (last Friday of class - 9am - 12noon) - RICHMOND LOCATION ONLY
1. Must be 18 years of age or older
2. Must be able to read and write in English to the degree necessary to perform the tasks expected
3. Must be able to perform the tasks required
