68-hour Online Medication Aide Course

 ALL NURSE AIDE AND MEDICATION AIDE STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO BE FULLY VACCINATED(COVID-19) BEFORE THE START OF CLASS. WE WILL CHECK THE VALIDITY OF ALL VACCINATION CARDS.

Uniform: 
White scrub top (the school provides 1 scrub top) 
Burgundy/Wine scrub pants (student's responsibility)

Shoes: Nursing clogs, or sneakers (no bright/no neon /no tie-dyed colors)

e-book : Virginia Board of Nurse Aide Book on the student portal 

Course Delivery: ONLINE VIA VIDEO LECTURE

Requirements
  • Must be fully COVID-19 Vaccinated before the first day of class
  • ​Must be a Nurse Aide OR PCA graduate. We will not accept PCA certificates from other schools if we can not verify them ​(If you do not have either of these certifications ask us about our bridge program) ****DHEC DOES NOT ACCEPT  THE TEMPORARY CNA CERTIFICATES*****​
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • A negative TB test report ( before the start of clinicals) 
  • The ability to read and write English​ 
  • ​All tattoos must be covered 
  • Nails must be short with no artificial covering
  • No facial piercings 
  • Only ear lobe piercings allowed  
  • ​Long hair must be pulled back ​
  • No head scarves ,  no cloth or fabric like headbands, no head wraps, (unless for religious purposes), no caps or hats when in uniform

Medication Aide 68-hour Course
Course preparation includes but is not limited to:
1. Preparing for safe administration of medications to clients in assisted living facilities
2. Maintaining aseptic conditions
3. Understanding of basic pharmacology
4. Facilitating client self-administration or assisting with medication administration
5. Following proper procedure for preparing, administering, and maintaining medications; and

6. Following appropriate procedures for documentation and reporting to the licensed healthcare professional on duty at the facility or to the client’s prescriber.

How the payment plan works 

$350 non-refundable deposit due at time of registration 

If student enrolls after deposit deadline: Deposit + 1st payment due at time of registration 
If student enrolls after 1st payment  deadline: 
Deposit + 1st payment + 2nd payment due at time of registration
